Dungeons of Eternity, the critically acclaimed virtual reality motion cooperative game, is set to arrive on Steam later this year.
Developed by Othergate, Dungeons of Eternity is an immersive fantasy motion role-playing game (RPG) designed for solo play or with up to two players in co-op mode. Launched last October as part of the Quest beta, a new Steam listing has emerged to confirm a September 2024 release window for the title, though it remains uncertain whether cross-platform multiplayer capabilities are in place. We’ve reached out to Othergate for clarification, and will update the text if further research is necessary.
As we share updates on the Dungeons of Eternity’s content refresh, aligning with previously announced post-launch plans outlined in our roadmap. Last month’s Arachnophobia Mode allowed players to swap out spiders for something “even more lovable and pleasant-looking,” while May’s ‘Longswords and Traps Spring’ update brought a two-handed longsword, increased level cap, haptic feedback enhancements, and more.
We bestowed our highest accolade upon Dungeons of Eternity in our comprehensive Quest review. We’ve crowned this immersive multiplayer VR experience as the standout champion of 2023, hailing its thrilling combat, exceptional production values, and seamless cooperative play.
While Dungeons of Eternity may not be a groundbreaking achievement in expertise, it remains an incredibly enjoyable fantasy motion RPG to experience with a group of friends… Combat shines, accommodating multiple playstyles, as the development system feels thoughtfully rewarding. I’ve had the pleasure of exploring Dungeons of Eternity’s vast virtual realms in a thrilling cooperative adventure, which has earned its place among my top VR experiences – an absolute must-play.
Dungeons of Eternity is set to launch on Steam this autumn 2024, with the game already available on the Meta Quest platform.
