Devolver Digital recently hosted another mock awards ceremony, where it revealed delays for many previously announced titles that were initially slated for release in 2024.
A mysterious, psychedelic skateboarder first emerged in 2022, originally slated for release in the latter half of the previous year before being rescheduled for a 2024 debut following last year’s delay announcement. Several notable titles are generating buzz, including a physics-based walking simulation game from the creators of and , as well as Free Lives’ roguelike beat ’em up, which has also been postponed.
As the calendar year draws to a close, it’s hardly surprising to experience such last-minute delays. While specific release dates have yet to be announced for any of the three upcoming video games. While hopes are high that newly established release dates will be met, it’s unrealistic to assume that unforeseen delays won’t arise during game development.
