At Gamescom 2024, Workforce Jade, the developer behind Delta Power: Hawk Ops, fulfilled their promise by delivering key updates during the Opening Evening Live presentation, finally providing us with some much-anticipated information. The upcoming free-to-play shooter has unveiled a brief sneak peek at gameplay, also revealing that it will be showcased at Steam Next Fest in October.
With Hawk Ops in closed alpha testing mode since months ago, its scope has finally been broadened to include a Western region, following a recent expansion. The overall sentiment surrounding this game has been notably positive, with many regarding it as a genuine rival to the esteemed Battlefield series from DICE.
As a result of their diligent efforts, Workforce Jade has successfully updated the alpha version since its inception, with the latest addition of new content being the most notable milestone achieved. The team acquired a fresh map set, complemented by a game mode that closely mirrors Hawk Ops’ take on Battlefield’s Conquest. The alpha check has no definitive end date; nonetheless, we are confident that it will continue until some point in the first week of September.
The original plan is to complete the launch by the end of the first quarter in 2025. As the NBA’s early entry period approaches, widespread anticipation builds among fans eager to discover which top prospects will take the plunge and declare for the draft. The game’s exterior features a robust Battlefield multiplayer mode, in addition to a single-player campaign inspired by the film Black Hawk Down – unfortunately, this latter aspect will not be accessible for free.
