Kojima Productions has announced that they will be hosting a special stage event at Tokyo Game Show 2024 on September 29th. A new anime series will premiere, featuring renowned voice actors Kenjiro Tsuda and Nana Mizuki in guest roles.
The rumor mill has been churning with speculation that these actors are part of Japan’s voice acting pool, fueled by subtle hints in their recent character silhouettes. The different friends that embody Nicolas Winding Refn, renowned filmmaker; Daichi Miura, accomplished artist; and Tomokazu Sugita, along with Shion Wakayama, talented actors, are… While still active in the gaming industry, director Hideo Kojima’s focus has shifted since departing Konami in 2015.
The event will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Japan Standard Time (JST). Given recent information, there may also be a brand-new trailer and gameplay footage released. Kojima may unveil a release timeframe for his upcoming sequel, slated for a 2025 debut on PlayStation 5. Now that filming and recording have been wrapped up, the project has transitioned into its final stages, known as the “adjustment” phase.
