The collaborative game will feature a diverse cast of playable characters, including the iconic students Makoto Naegi, Kyoko Kirigiri, Celestia Ludenberg, and Junko Enoshima, alongside the enigmatic mastermind Monokuma, who serves as the game’s mascot for its intricate sequence. In this exclusive collaboration, each of the four main characters will receive a completely reimagined Chinese language-inspired aesthetic, complemented by a bespoke swimsuit costume. As part of the intricate plot unfolding, protagonist Makoto Naegi embarks on another time-traveling adventure, only to find himself entangled in a thrilling mahjong mystery that awakens forgotten memories.
As Makoto navigates the treacherous landscape alongside the other students, he must unravel the truth surrounding the infamous Shinjin-O match, all while evading the clutches of the cunning and ruthless Monokuma, who relentlessly pursues those who dare to uncover the sinister forces at play. The event will showcase a mix of classic mahjong video games commonly found alongside category trials and lasting facts, featuring gameplay mechanics that pay tribute to the original series.
The popular sequence was showcased on March 14th, 2024, in a unique crossover event with Tower Protection, specifically highlighting the first two titles.
