It seems that enthusiasts of Cyberpunk 2077 may have an affinity for exceptional tabletop games. Cyberpunk fans have fallen deeply in love with the truth: a new official board game from CD Projekt and Go On Board, creatively titled Cyberpunk 2077: The Board Sport, has not only exceeded its $100,000 crowdfunding goal but has raised over ten times that amount thus far.
According to various CD Projekt developers, the board game reached the staggering sum of $100,000 in just 10 minutes and 4 seconds – an impressive feat that has left many in awe. As of my writing, the total amount has grown to a remarkable $1,017,379.
The staggering scope far exceeds our initial funding goal – a notion that’s driving me to distraction, considering it was fueled by just over 6,300 backers. What do these investors hope to achieve by throwing their money around?
The Cyberpunk 2077 tabletop sport brings its expertise to life by featuring key characters like V, Judy, Panam, and Jackie. This cooperative, story-driven tactical game allows 1-4 players to explore a “what if?” scenario that diverges from the original game’s narrative, unfolding across 13 distinct missions through a new storyline.
The crowdfunding campaign for the game concluded on Gamefound, accompanied by a range of enticing perks and bonuses that would be unlocked should specific stretch goals be met, featuring a novel sport mode, additional weaponry, exclusive miniatures, and a fresh mission. All of them have genuinely been affected – there’s no getting around that fact.
Are you considering purchasing or pledging support for a particular sport? If so, there are two distinct options available, with varying price points to suit your preferences. The standard version can be yours for $79, while the premium, deluxe edition offers enhanced features at a cost of $139.
