Microsoft initiated the deployment of Activision Blizzard video games on Xbox Game Pass with the platform’s introduction earlier this year, but so far, that’s been the only development. Although this development is expected to change rapidly, it appears that three cherished remakes from Activision’s catalog are poised to debut on the subscription platform shortly, according to a trusted insider.
According to renowned leaker eXtas1s on the Exputer forums, there are rumors suggesting that Sport Cross might be released sometime in August, with the possibility of being playable via Xbox Cloud Gaming, although this has yet to be confirmed. Interestingly enough, this claim has been independently verified by Windows Central.
While the leak suggests a potential trilogy of remakes, it also proposes an intriguing possibility: the addition of a platforming remake trilogy and a remake duology that fans have come to adore, further expanding the scope of gaming’s retro renaissance. While it’s unclear whether they’ll actually debut on the platform in August,
The leaker notes that they currently lack information on when video games can be added to the Sport Cross catalog. Microsoft’s Xbox Series S will launch day one for the service in October, but it remains to be seen how long we’ll have to wait for prior instalments in the collection to follow suit.
