Ahead of its August 23rd release on PC and PS5, Firewalk Studios shared fresh details about the game through an official tweet on Twitter. While the developer didn’t elaborate on the PvE credits discovered during the beta testing, they did confirm that “specific single-player tutorial modes” will be available when the game launches.
The revised text is: These features will enable players to become familiar with each Freegunner’s abilities, movements, and mechanics – a capability that was greatly desired throughout the beta. Unfortunately, the upcoming game, a popular genre of first-person shooter, will not include a multiplayer component featuring free-for-all combat designed specifically for solo players. The update confirmed that the lineup will progress through “regular content refreshes” and looks forward to collaborating with the team to shape future advancements, including new gameplay modes.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will debut with 12 multiplayer maps, including informal options such as Takedown and Trophy Hunt, as well as more competitive modes like Cargo Run and Conflict Level. Firewalk disclosed that there won’t be a battle mode, at least not initially; instead, players can acquire cosmetic items by engaging with the game, progressing through levels and completing Jobs. Each week, A Kind of Job’s unique feature offers an opportunity to unlock additional variants across the entire roster.
