To mark the occasion of World Chess Day, Odders Lab is launching a groundbreaking Combined Reality mode alongside a permanent price reduction for its highly-acclaimed chess game, Chess Club.
On World Chess Day, a Sevilla-based studio hinted at an upcoming update featuring new MR options, but remained vague about its exact release date. Gamers can now experience the benefits of the MR Chess Membership at a reduced price of $9.99, a 32% decrease from the original $14.99.
This innovative MR mode enables chess enthusiasts globally to engage in virtual chess matches with opponents from their own physical locations. Gamers can further personalize their gaming spaces by seamlessly integrating unique visual elements, such as projecting novel images onto their ceiling or incorporating three-dimensional statues, and even designing interactive home windows that grant access to new virtual environments. In Chess Membership’s non-MR modes, the same boards and units remain accessible in mixed reality as well.
Chess.com membership is now available on Quest headsets.
