Hoyoverse has unveiled its highly anticipated 1.5 Update Programme, set to premiere live on January 10, 2024, at 3:30 a.m. Pacific Time and 6:30 a.m. Eastern Time. During the upcoming livestream, representatives from the event team are expected to engage in discussions regarding fresh narrative quests, special events, new character introductions, and other exciting updates.
Viewers will be able to access the content on both YouTube and Twitch platforms. The forthcoming publication’s scope and specific details regarding its new content and updates remain unclear for now. While past updates often hinted at the arrival of fresh characters and factions in upcoming marketing campaigns, they also provided insight into new tools, highlighted key events, and showcased the rewards associated with each occasion.
The upcoming patch, dubbed “Astral Awakening,” marks the official introductions of Astra Yao and Evelyn Chevalier, two new playable characters set to join the game’s roster. Following the release of patch 1.4, a new narrative thread emerged in the form of side-story chapters appended to quest conclusions. Ahead of its official launch within the game, HoYoVerse established an official social media account.
Astra Yao becomes the third Ether character to join the sports scene following Nicole Demara and Zhu Yuan in their debut launch. Like Nicole, she would most probably be classified as a Help-type unit. Evelyn, Astra’s trusted private bodyguard, is expected to be a skilled Assault operative specializing in fire-based combat techniques.
For viewers tuning in to the stream, a redeemable code for Polychromes is expected to be awarded. Several corporate officials announced that a limited number of employees will receive surprise gifts.
Now available on PS5, PC, mobile devices, and the app, the next update is set to roll out at 3:30 AM Pacific Time/6:30 AM Eastern Time on January 10, 2024.
