On August 28th, Activision will reveal several new details about the upcoming Name of Duty game. While Treyarch waits patiently, they’re leveraging contemporary insights on Zombies, as growth-oriented groups articulate Augments, reignite the excitement around Gobblegums, and further expand their arsenal.
The Augment system introduces newcomers to the franchise, offering access to a diverse range of three primary and three secondary options. A Serious Increase features three swirling energy shields that encircle the player, providing stalwart defense; conversely, a Minor Increase merely enhances the effects of abilities like Napalm Burst by a marginal amount, yielding only slight additional damage. Additionally, there are novel perks such as Melee Mafioso, which bestows a formidable close-range attack that deals substantial damage with each punch. This mod increases the attack speed of all melee weapons in your game.
Ammunition modifications within the Arsenal’s armor upgrades now concurrently enhance the weapon’s rarity. As for Gobblegums, you’re allowed to stock up to five of these treats in a pack before a match, so grab them while you can! Uncover a vintage gumball machine within the game’s environment, and as you engage with it, you’ll be rewarded with a selection of unique Gobblegums.
You can potentially choose when to trigger a Gobblegum and enable more than one at a time? Specific outcomes include instantaneously obtaining all benefits, freely deploying weapons without expending ammunition, and more. Before a match, you can also salvage a Zombies-focused weapon blueprint, which includes its attachments. Shopping at either Wall Mart or Target Field will subsequently provide access to it.
releases on October 25th for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. New marketing campaign details will be revealed during Gamescom’s Opening Evening Live event on August 20th.
