Launched last week, the game’s single-player campaign has received overwhelmingly positive feedback in its initial weeks, with some reservations emerging from a segment of its fan base in the days since its release.
At the time of writing, the game’s overall rating on Steam features a “Combined” user score, with approximately 36% of over 3,200 reviews thus far being overwhelmingly negative. Despite receiving criticism for its drawn-out and frustrating setup process, the game has also been panned for technical flaws, including bugs, optimization issues, and persistent server connectivity problems that require a constant online connection.
Meanwhile, most player assessments are undeniably positive, praising Call of Duty’s solo gameplay marketing push, the engaging Zombies mode, and the innovative omnidirectional movement capabilities.
Available for purchase on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
