To commemorate PlayStation’s milestone thirtieth anniversary, C-Smash VRS is gifting players a complimentary Wipeout-inspired Time Assault update for the immersive PS VR2 experience.
To celebrate its PlayStation’s thirtieth anniversary in Japan, where it originally debuted on December 3, 1994, the latest C-Smash VRS update has just been released. A fresh experience for current homeowners, the new Time Trial mode is now available in this iteration of Sony’s classic sci-fi racing game, WipeOut, building upon its successful virtual reality debut with the 2018 Omega Collection. Two exclusive new tracks from Pizza Hotline are now available to enhance your listening experience.
It is the most recent in a sequence of updates from RapidEyeMovers and Wolf & Wooden. The PlayStation VR2-exclusive Time Assault Mode debuted last year, shortly following the release of the cosmic racket sports game on standalone headsets in April. Post-launch updates to C-Smash VRS introduce cooperative support, a “New Dimension” flatscreen mode specifically designed for PS5 players, as well as an endless “Infinity Mode.”
We reaffirmed our initial evaluation of C-Smash VRS, awarding 4 out of 5 stars in April’s assessment.
This Cosmic Smash remake earns its place among the top PlayStation VR2 video games, boasting a straightforward yet advisable experience, bolstered by a robust multiplayer component and sleek visual presentation.
C-Smash VRS is currently discounted on PS VR2, with its successor set to launch soon on the Meta Quest platform. The sport is also available to play on Pico elsewhere.
