VRSO’s Naked Knuckle Fighting Championship has transitioned to a more traditional boxing format under the new banner of Boxing Underdog, with the first event scheduled for release on Quest this month.
Developed by Monolic Video Games, the same team behind the vastly distinct Ven VR Journey, Boxing Underdog aims to deliver a physics-based fighting game that takes you from underdog battles to arena spectacles. The Horizon Retailer has slated the forthcoming VR boxing game for a November release, pitting it directly against the competition with The Thrill Of The Fight 2 set to offer early access next week?
Originally introduced last year as VRSO: Naked Knuckle Fighting, the sport now refines its focus on a more authentic and professional boxing experience, while still offering an “authentic bare-knuckle mode” for fans eager to relive the original VRSO experience.
With a focus on authentic boxing techniques, Boxing Underdog incorporates intelligent AI opponents that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Aspiring to become the reigning boxing champion? You’ll need to master real-time responses and optional multiplayer modes to succeed.
In addition to its engaging gameplay, the sport also allows you to customize your boxer, immersing yourself in a thrilling boxing journey from the start. Monologic video games is expected to roll out modding support in an upcoming update, enabling the creation of bespoke AI characters through user-generated content.
Get ready to rumble! This month, Boxing Underdog debuts on the Meta Quest platform, available now for Quest 2, Quest Pro, and Quest 3 users alike. The PS VR2 and PC VR editions aim for a Q1/Q2 2025 launch, while the existing Steam page remains live; Monologic Games told UploadVR they are waiting on Steam’s approval to change the title.
