Gearbox Software has unveiled the first gameplay footage of their latest project, offering a glimpse into the new environments and Vault Hunter characters. According to the latest announcement on the PlayStation Blog, fans of the series can eagerly anticipate new game content in early 2025, with impressions already blending together a thrilling experience.
The analysis also uncovered fresh details about the underlying dynamics at play. As the circumstances converged, Elpis unexpectedly found itself in the gravitational pull of Kairos, a realm governed by the enigmatic Timekeeper. The latest developments have predictably sparked widespread turmoil, as evidenced by the primary trailer, while also giving rise to a newly formed enemy faction, the Rippers, under the leadership of Queen Callius.
As the conflict between the Timekeeper’s Order and the Rippers intensifies, the pilot’s craft eventually succumbs to damage, resulting in a forced landing on an alien world. While Gearbox promises to innovatively evolve the gameplay experience, it’s expected that there will be more loots than ever before, epic showdowns with colossal bosses, and the return of fan-favorite characters. Native split-screen co-op for two players and four-player online multiplayer capabilities are officially confirmed.
Doesn’t currently have a launch date, but it’s scheduled to release next year on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
