BoboVR has launched a Quest 3 charging dock at a more affordable price point than Meta’s official offering, while also expanding the range of accessories available.
Meta’s Quest 3 charging dock costs $130, while the BoboVR D3 charges a mere $70.
The BoboVR D3 headset is powered via its undersurface, utilizing three gold pins to connect, while the wireless controllers feature convenient recharging through included rechargeable batteries with built-in Wi-Fi connectivity.
However, the D3 boasts an additional pin configuration hidden behind its headset, designed specifically to accommodate BoboVR’s B100 battery pack, which neatly slots into its S3 Professional battery strap tailored for the Quest 3. Having two B100 packs, you may already have a spare on hand that can seamlessly take over once the current pack exhausts its capacity.
The company asserts that the dock, when paired with a 45W energy adapter, can fully charge the Quest 3 from 0% to 100% in under three hours, and the B100 in approximately two hours.
BoboVR asserts that the D3 dock is uniquely capable of charging controllers when paired with its G3 Plus controller grips cover. For homeowners of G3 Plus, the convenience of not having to remove shoes every time can be a significant source of comfort.
Until the end of this month, BoboVR is running a limited-time launch sale for its D3 product, offering an exclusive 43% off and pricing it at just $63. The Dock bundle does not come with an influence adapter; however, in the US, the company is offering a special package that includes a 45W adapter and the G3 Plus grips for $90 until the end of the month, increasing to $100 afterwards.
