However, Netflix is poised to revolutionize this approach with the impending release of “Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Film.” Although the title may suggest otherwise, this piece isn’t actually about SpongeBob; however, the beloved character will still make an appearance alongside the film’s protagonist, indulging in his signature antics. The highly anticipated trailer for the brand new film debuted yesterday, marking a fresh start for Bikini Bottom after numerous past controversies. This time, however, the city itself has been lifted out of the ocean and relocated to Texas – coincidentally, the hometown of Sandy.

Considering Sandy’s unconventional relationship with her suit has never come up before, it can only be explained by “because she wasn’t a flying squirrel until now” – but hey, sometimes you just have to find a way to transport a rodent and an anthropomorphic sponge across the USA.
