Digital Arts warns that three titles may lose their digital presence on July 31st, affecting Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers. will not be available on digital storefronts in the near future, nor will their downloadable content (DLC). Online companies for these platforms may cease to exist as early as November 7th.
While some gamers might have abandoned their copies of those video games, the single-player campaigns remain a viable option for entertainment. Additionally, titles will persist across various platforms. Players across platforms, including PC, Xbox One, and PS4, can start playing without any points.
The announcement arrives several months following Digital Arts’ confirmation that there will be no further seasons. The subsequent title in this collection still needs to be officially announced. Despite this, it features the largest contingent of employees in the franchise’s history working on it, comprising DICE, Motive Studios, Ripple Effect Studios, and Criterion Games. EA CEO Andrew Wilson referred to the unannounced project as a “large stay service”, leaving key details regarding its setting and mechanics unclear. Keep tuned for additional updates.
