Japanese game publisher Bandai Namco has confirmed its attendance at Gamescom, slated for later this month in Cologne, Germany.
The corporation has unveiled its strategy for its physical storefront, where customers can engage with innovative demos for forthcoming releases – specifically, a single-player action-adventure game set to debut this autumn, as well as another title targeting a 2025 release date. Additionally available for play on the Bandai Namco platform is an upcoming arena fighter set to launch in October.
Whether we’ll rely on launch dates for the previous two titles remains uncertain; nonetheless, it’s likely that Bandai Namco will soon announce a specific date, possibly not far off from launch.
Firms officially confirmed to attend Gamescom 2023 thus far include Microsoft, NetEase Games, Ubisoft, and THQ Nordic, among a growing list of industry leaders, with notable exceptions being Sony and Nintendo who have opted out of this year’s event.
