On October 24, 2024, Band House lets you shred as the ultimate virtual rockstar in both Meta Quest and PC VR experiences.
Developed by Smartmelon Video games in collaboration with Paradox Interactive and published by Curve Digital (Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2), Bandcamp puts you in the role of managing a band, allowing you to take on the responsibilities of either a solo musician or lead a group of like-minded musicians.
At launch, Band House offers four instruments for budding musicians to master, accompanied by single-player and multiplayer options, as well as a wide range of tracks across various genres. With Mod.io’s innovative assistance, craft your own custom tracks for a truly immersive experience. Despite this, the mod assistant feature is currently available only to single-player users at present.
Smartmelon Video Games plans to release additional soundtrack tracks as downloadable content (DLC) following the game’s initial launch. Gamers currently enjoy the thrill of racing on 30 unique tracks, with the added excitement of a mixed-reality experience available exclusively on Meta Quest virtual reality headsets.
While Rock Band VR is no longer available, Band House offers a fresh take on the rhythm game genre. We commended our Band House review of the demo, highlighting the sports’ engaging multiplayer options, yet noted that inconsistent hit detection led to moments of frustration.
The band-focused rhythm game, Band House, is set to launch on October 24, available for PC VR on Steam and on the Meta Quest platform.
