With the PS5 Pro now available, its impressive roster of optimized games continues to grow, boasting an extensive list of titles that capitalise on the console’s upgraded capabilities. The highly anticipated Baldur’s Gate 3 is among the numerous video games boasting impressive PS5 Pro enhancements, and in a recent update, developer Larian Studios has shed light on exactly what fans can expect from this technological upgrade.
On the PlayStation 5 Professional, the renowned role-playing game’s visual settings have undergone adjustments to enhance graphical quality and optimize performance. In High Quality mode, the game operates locally at 4K resolution and 30 frames per second on the PS5 Pro, while Efficiency mode delivers a rendered 1440p image upscaled to 4K using PSSR technology, achieving 60 frames per second.
During simultaneous play in PS5’s splitscreen multiplayer mode, Professional settings operate at a frame rate of 30 FPS when using High quality mode, while Efficiency mode supports smoother gameplay at 60 FPS. Larian has leveraged the update to address an issue preventing some players from downloading or subscribing to mods when joining another player’s multiplayer game with mods active.
