Unfortunately, for fans of Helldivers 2 who’ve eagerly awaited a glimpse into the Automatons’ conquest of Super Earth, the reality may be disheartening: prepare for disappointment. Due to the latest Main Order, you are now certain to successfully deploy the bots and breach the entrance door of the diver’s home planet without hesitation.
The player-driven protest movement against balance changes, which initially targeted allowing ‘baddies’ to reach Super Earth, had evolved into a roleplaying exercise in the true spirit of Helldivers, only to hit a roadblock: those who simply want to take down enemies and follow orders without hesitation.
By the end of the week, speculation ran rampant among those eager to test Arrowhead’s mettle: would the studio really possess the technological infrastructure to support a massive undertaking like Tremendous Earth if the stakes were raised?
Over the weekend, we executed a brand-new military operation (MO), which resulted in a critical planet previously seized by enemy forces being successfully recaptured by our elite Helldivers.
“While our attention was clouded by the Gloom, the Automatons have stealthily drawn closer to the planet known as Tremendous Earth,” it reads. “We will not permit any intimidation of Tremendous Earth’s residents, especially those in the Developed Worlds who have consistently demonstrated their commitment to Managed Democracy.” The Helldivers will mount a decisive attack on the Automatons to repel their advance and safeguard Tremendous Earth.
The primary objective of this directive was the recapture of Curia, the planet adjacent to Tremendous Earth, which had been seized by the mechanical entities; in a move I previously hinted at, it has already been reclaimed by the underwater explorers. With ample time to complete the task ahead of schedule.
As a temporary reprieve, Tremulous Earth’s conservation efforts prevail, foiling the meticulously planned protests within the game and prompting speculation that Arrowhead may have quietly intervened to ensure this outcome. It’s evident that many criticisms are driven by gamers’ disappointment at not achieving their desired outcome and lack tangible evidence beyond the assumption that the studio failed to provide an adequate challenge from the game’s onset.
Despite the absence of concrete evidence, it seems that if one is committed to fighting for a cause, they will need to adapt and evolve, much like a soldier anticipating a future battle, as part of an intricate plan unfolding within J.O.E.L’s enigmatic strategy.
Is the anticipated invasion of Basic Brasch’s lounge by the bots still pending or have circumstances changed its timing? Tell us under!
