Reports have emerged suggesting a recent rumor that was initially slated for an earlier release date, which has since been officially validated: the project is now anticipated to debut in early 2025.
Initially slated for a fall release, developer Obsidian Entertainment inadvertently confirmed last month that the fantasy RPG is indeed set to debut in November, corroborating earlier leaks, despite neither the studio nor Microsoft officially announcing the date. The latter has officially announced on Twitter that the highly anticipated sports game will make its debut on February 18th, 2025.
“We’re transitioning our release date to February 18, 2025, allowing gamers to clear their backlogs and take a breath.”
Microsoft has a robust lineup of releases planned for the latter half of 2024, including major titles and expansions such as and . GSC Game World’s highly anticipated Xbox console, a unique offering from the studio, is expected to hit stores as early as November of this year.
With the addition of Hasbro’s iconic brand, it joins a growing list of Microsoft titles scheduled for release in 2025, including Halo Infinite and Fable. Rumors suggest that Gears of War might also debut next year, further expanding the company’s gaming portfolio.
Microsoft recently announced that it will showcase one of its 50 forthcoming video games at Gamescom, set to take place later this month, alongside a live stream providing fresh insights on August 23.
