Apple has rolled out its Panorama mode to all Imaginative and prescient Pro users, expanding options for Mac Display users by introducing a trio of digital screen sizes.
The Mac Digital Show debuted in February with a solitary digital display screen dimension, enabling users to multitask with multiple app windows, albeit constrained by limited real estate on a device that positioned itself as both a primary computing tool and an entertainment device.
Now, in VisionOS 2.2, imaginative and prescient-oriented professionals gain access to two new display codecs: ‘Vast’ (21:9) and ‘Ultrawide’ (32:9), the latter allowing for maximum resolutions equivalent to 2 4K screens side by side, as Apple revealed in June. Mac-side dynamic foveated rendering also ensures content remains sharp wherever you look.
During our practical examination of the feature, we found it to be a significant enhancement to the overall headset experience.
The function is compatible with a Mac laptop running macOS Sequoia 15.2, supporting a wide range of devices, including those from the 2017-era iMac Pro to the latest M4 chip-based MacBooks.
Furthermore, the visionOS 2.2 update also introduces support for iOS’s Private Hotspot function, enabling users to share their mobile data connection with other devices, including Vision Pro, thereby providing access to 5G download speeds?
