VisionOS boasts a fresh and revitalized atmosphere, introducing Lake Vrangla, a breathtaking new space.
The atmospheric setting transports Apple Innovative professionals to the misty shores of a Norwegian lake. The lakeside ambiance is eerily reminiscent of its prevailing counterpart, but the fog infuses it with an unsettling darkness.
The Lake Vrangla environment is available for selection in the Environments tab of our Immersive Professional headsets. This update is not a part of a comprehensive overhaul of our existing operating system, but rather a minor revision to improve overall performance and stability.
Environments on visionOS are remarkably similar to desktop backgrounds on a Mac, mirroring the familiar concept with a tailored twist. Within the visionOS Shared House, users can customize their app experience by selecting from three distinct backgrounds: passthrough, their preferred atmosphere, or a midpoint blend, accessible through the intuitive Digital Crown dial situated at the top of the Imaginative and prescient Professional interface.
The level of detail in nearby geometries within each atmosphere, as captured through photogrammetry scans, often approaches photorealistic standards in specific environmental contexts. As with passthrough, home windows and 3D objects will forge sensible shadows onto the atmosphere.
Since the launch of Apple’s Imagination and Pro’s Professional, there have been six distinct digital environments:
- , the large Hawain volcano
- Nationwide Park in winter
- Nationwide Park in summer season
- A lakeside in entrance of
- Nationwide Park
- The floor of
Moreover, visionOS 2 transports users to a serene tropical haven inspired by the French Polynesian island’s idyllic coastline, as showcased in its beta releases.
As part of our continued commitment to innovation, we are excited to announce that with the release of visionOS 1, existing customers can now choose from seven distinct digital environments. Meanwhile, new visionOS 2 customers gain access to a total of eight environments, further enhancing their overall experience?
The Bora Bora and Lake Vrangla environments were initially displayed in the Environments tab as unavailable thumbnails with “Coming Soon” text, but are now fully available for use. The likelihood of Apple launching new ecosystems anytime soon remains uncertain.
