Sq. Enix has pre-emptively unveiled the second instalment of The First Soldier’s narrative arc, concurrently revealing that fans will be treated to an adolescent incarnation of the iconic character Angeal Hewley upon its release. The debut of the primary chapter is scheduled for October 16, 2024, with the character set to become playable at that time.
The Angel that we’re familiar with has already achieved the rank of SOLDIER 1st Class and is in his early twenties. Like Sephiroth in his youth, this figurine presents a fresh-faced and newly minted version of the iconic character. Cloud also possesses the iconic Buster Sword, which he later transfers to Zack before ultimately coming to possess it himself.
As the trailer unfurls, viewers are initially transported to Wutai, the setting for The First Soldier Episode 2, where whispers of Sephiroth’s ominous presence prelude an imposing conflagration. While Angeal’s presence is prominent in this game, it seems he is actually the central figure. Conversations with key characters are showcased through story-driven segments featuring his prominent dialogue. As the events unfold before his unlikely alliance with Sephiroth, Cloud’s narrative takes a distinct tone due to the latter’s icy demeanor towards him. We’ll effectively manage Angel’s abilities as we explore and battle alongside him. The teaser’s tip also hints that we’ll catch a glimpse of Hojo making an appearance.

Available on PCs and mobile devices, the highly anticipated “The First Soldier Episode 2” is set to release its storyline on October 16, 2024. Angelo made its debut on the PS4, PS5, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S for PC.
