According to Treatment Leisure’s communications director, Thomas Puha, the studio’s forthcoming multiplayer game may boast lower hardware requirements compared to its single-player titles. In a conversation with GamesRadar, Puha emphasized the importance of being mindful of the game’s PC requirements, particularly when it comes to framerate, as a smooth experience is crucial for a seamless multiplayer experience.
Puha discussed how, despite impressive visuals being characteristic of the game, the studio aimed to keep its PC requirements lower than those of other titles in order to attract a broader player base.
According to Puha, the team is keenly mindful of keeping the minimum required PC specifications affordable, avoiding overkill by ensuring they don’t go overboard on requirements like they did in the past with and . “While graphical niceties and tangible outcomes are still assured, it’s crucial in a multiplayer setting like this that framerate and control responsiveness take precedence.”
It’s worth noting that many top-rated multiplayer games currently available don’t necessitate cutting-edge PC hardware for optimal performance. Usually, the concept of “talking” has been a significant departure from the norm for Treatment, as it marks the studio’s inaugural venture into the realm of multiplayer gaming. During the same interview, Sports Director Mike Kayatta discussed this being a brand-new experience for the studio. The decision to create a multiplayer game was also driven by the desire to facilitate emergent storytelling, which can only truly emerge when players collaborate and co-create their gaming experience together.

The highly anticipated sport is set to make its debut in 2025, with a simultaneous release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms. Given that the game has lower hardware requirements and is priced competitively as a mid-range title, it will likely appeal to a wider audience of gamers seeking an enjoyable gaming experience without breaking the bank. While the sport will receive additional content in the form of post-launch support, it won’t be a live-service game.
Currently, treatment options are also available for follow-ups, aptly dubbed.
