Last year, despite widespread acclaim, the game faced criticism for locking its much-touted New Game Plus mode behind its pricier Deluxe and Ultimate Editions, sparking heated debate among fans and players. Fortunately, Sega seems to have learned from its past mistakes, ensuring that the next launch won’t repeat the same errors.
As revealed in a recent gameplay deep dive, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has confirmed that the upcoming game will introduce a new “Plus” mode as free post-launch downloadable content. Despite uncertainty surrounding the exact timeline, the promise of a replacement is a welcome response from Sega following criticism over its handling of New Game Plus last year.
Is set to release on February 14 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
