Stage Zero’s physics-based sandbox sequel impressively debuts on Quest, yet the studio still holds back its acclaimed physics-motion puzzle title from Meta’s cutting-edge standalone hardware platform. That’s about to alter.
If you’re unfamiliar with playing on a PC VR headset, In the Event is a captivating VR action-adventure that leverages innovative, cutting-edge physics mechanics to create an immersive experience. You’re immersed in a thrilling experience, requiring deft navigation through diverse environments, intense physics-driven combat, and innovative problem-solving through the manipulation of physical laws.
Studio co-founder Brandon Laatsch outlined ambitious goals for 2025 in a recent update to X, indicating that the studio is simultaneously working on patches for its Marrow Engine physics framework, developed for Unity, as well as the launch of titles for Quest 3 and Quest 3S.
What’s happening? Try Quest 3 in motion!
‘Launch Patches 7, 8, and 9 of Bonelab, incorporating Marrow versions 2, 2.1, and 2.2.’ Port Convey Boneworks to Quest 3 simultaneously on Marrow 2. Pre-production for the following recreation. By linking Marrow to compatible systems, we seek seamless integration. While Boneworks remains the closest analogue, its challenges persist. Godspeed, SLZ!

The manufacturing process for Meta’s Marrow 2.0 and Quest 3 is being conducted concurrently, with preparations already underway for the next-generation headset.
According to Laatsch, the studio has no plans to remove Labworks, a project that independent developer “volx64” spent two years porting as an indie modder. In the Quest 3 native environment, Laatsch claims that the Marrow Engine will bring more value to Boneworks than a simple port.
While there is no official launch window announced, we’re keeping a close eye on Laatsch’s Twitter profile and the studio’s YouTube channel for any upcoming updates.
