NetEase has unveiled the ultimate launch hero for its game, followed by a breakdown of the title’s monetization strategy. The game already features post-launch seasons and cosmetic microtransactions, devoid of pay-to-win elements. Notwithstanding, a newly published article details the exact currencies, Battle Moves’ contents, and more.
Two primary currencies exist: Lattice and Items. The premium currency was purchased outright with real money, including a single item priced at $0.99, and could also be earned through gameplay mechanics like the Battle Moves feature as well as Items. Although less accessible, the latter can be obtained through Occasions and Achievements; players will exchange them for Lattices at an equal rate of 1:1.
The Battle Pass, Season 0: Dooms’ Rise, will be priced at 490 Lattices, approximately $5, and feature five outfits, including a legendary-quality skin for Mantis, along with other cosmetic items. Battle Pass holders will enjoy the benefit of their paid passes not expiring, with the added flexibility to unlock their rewards throughout subsequent seasons.
Can you claim a complimentary Battle Move tier simply by acquiring an Epic high-quality outfit and other items? It is worth noting that objects from each tier must be redeemed using Chrono Tokens earned by participating in events and completing “duties.”
Future paid Battle Passes will come at a steeper price point than their Season 0 counterparts, doubling the cost while also offering twice as many rewards. Players who opt out of spending cash can still anticipate free rewards, including outfits and cosmetics, by completing achievements and special events. NetEase might consider offering free items as incentives for players to purchase premium cosmetics.
launches on December sixth. The highly anticipated title is now available for preload on Xbox Series X/S, with PC and PS5 versions expected to follow soon.
