For months, we’ve been tracking the development of Ubisoft’s central hub platform, despite a lack of official details from the company. However, recent leaks and rumors have prompted the corporation to provide some clarification on what players can expect.
The improvement team at Reddit has confirmed that the forthcoming Animus Hub, officially titled as such, will eschew paid subscriptions and paid battle passes in favor of a completely free experience. This means that all rewards earned within the hub will be accessible without any financial barriers. All common in-game content and bonus missions are available to players at no additional cost.
While several key details remain unclear, including how the Animus Hub will interface with the mainline series and its potential revenue streams, Ubisoft has assured that further information will be forthcoming “closer to launch.”
Launches on Valentine’s Day (February 14th) for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
