Legendary game developer Hideaki Itsuno, creator of the Devil May Cry series and other iconic Capcom titles such as Resident Evil: Revelations and Dragon’s Dogma, has found a new home at Lighthouse Studios. Here, he will be actively involved in the development of new AAA motion video games, and as such, they are currently hiring.
LightSpeed Studios, best known for its contributions to popular shooter titles such as PUBG Mobile and Undawn, has established a new Japanese outpost, with industry veteran Itusno at the helm. The corporate appears poised to venture into uncharted territories, and in terms of senior expertise guiding this foray, Itsumo is undoubtedly a prominent figure among those leading the charge.
The news of Itsuno’s departure from Capcom earlier this year was met with disappointment by many of his fans. Though he didn’t explicitly state he was abandoning game development altogether, his farewell post did leave several Capcom IPs in uncertainty. Capcom’s Satan May Cry series, led by director Hideki Itsuno and his team, has recently unleashed its latest intelligent installment, Satan May Cry 5. Additionally, there’s Dragon’s Dogma 2, an outstanding motion RPG from this year’s best lineup and a cherished property that has been a longstanding passion of the individual.
