Fans of role-playing games (RPGs) have been treated to a sudden surge this past year, and Nintendo is continuing to reap the benefits as well. Following the release of an acclaimed remake for the Switch in May, the RPG is maintaining strong momentum where sales are concerned.
Nintendo has announced in its latest quarterly earnings report that by September 30, the remake had sold 1.94 million units globally. As of the end of the previous quarter, the RPG had sold approximately 1.76 million items, implying a substantial increase of nearly 200,000 items compared to the preceding quarter’s sales.
Nintendo has revealed updated sales figures for its popular games and consoles, including the Switch’s top-performing first-party titles, as well as the console’s overall performance, which boasts an impressive 146.04 million units sold globally.
