After witnessing each of their concepts fail to meet industrial standards, Square Japanese game developer Enix has announced a strategic shift away from its traditional console-exclusive approach, aiming to increase revenue by releasing more multi-platform titles in the future. During a recent interview with Japanese publication 4Gager, Square Enix’s Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida reaffirmed his previous stance.
The Mistwalker-developed game in collaboration with Square Enix will likely have a profound impact on the gaming industry as well as fans worldwide. The Enix-published RPG on which he is serving as a producer, exemplifying Square. Microsoft’s collaboration with Enix enables simultaneous releases of their games across platforms, starting with the Xbox console.

In the meantime, the forthcoming title is set to launch on December 5 for a wide range of platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
