Sony’s entire schedule for the upcoming Tokyo Game Show has finally been disclosed, culminating each day with a live event that will conclude with a 60-minute on-stage showcase highlighting the latest PlayStation offerings. Despite initial reservations, it appears that we’re set to receive significantly more of the open-world game than initially expected.
Developer Kojima Productions took to Twitter, announcing that its stage presentation has been extended from an hour to a 90-minute showcase. The event is now set to commence at 10:30 AM JST on September 29, with early access to additional details about the game for fans to look forward to, exceeding original plans.
At the event, attendees can expect to see renowned director Hideo Kojima and a team of his most trusted colleagues. Recent weeks have witnessed Kojima hinting at additional, previously unannounced actors set to feature in the game, sparking speculation about their potential roles. As a State of Play presentation approaches, it’s likely that we’ll learn more about these new additions, adding further intrigue to the project’s already considerable mystique.
The highly anticipated title is scheduled to release sometime in 2025 exclusively for the PlayStation 5 console.
