Goodroid has unveiled a limited-time Sanrio crossover event within the Japanese version of its popular mobile game. In a unique collaboration, Japanese gamers have had the opportunity to obtain special versions of in-game characters that come equipped with plush toys featuring Sanrio’s beloved mascots, such as Kakucho alongside Pekkle the Duck.
The corporation plans to split its crossover event into two distinct phases. Gamers are given the opportunity to obtain unique Sanrio-themed variations of Kakucho, Izana, Kanji, Shion, Ran, and Rindo through the primary wave.
first appeared in Japan on December 8, 2022. Unlike its motion RPG counterpart, this game takes on a more casual tone as a match-3 puzzle title where players can assemble a party comprising characters from the franchise.
The Goodroid platform has successfully expanded its global reach by launching a worldwide version as of December 6, 2023. While the English Pokémon Go launch remains unchanged as of September 2024, one notable difference from its Japanese counterpart is the absence of a Sanrio crossover event. What’s your intention?
